Pastor Karen is a warm and thoughtful pastor who invites people to come just as they are—bringing their whole selves into God’s story of love and transformation. With a gift for weaving together scripture, personal stories, and the beauty of everyday life, she creates worship that feels both deeply rooted and relevant. Her ministry blends authenticity with a passion for justice, kindness, and community. She encourages others to live with faith that is expansive and real. Whether preaching, praying, or simply sharing a conversation, Pastor Karen’s heart is to help people encounter God’s presence in ways that speak to their own journey and draw them deeper into the hope and joy of the gospel.

Carissa Gigliotti

Carissa Gigliotti (she/her) became Office Manager in June 2024. She is responsible for the complete operation of the church office, including administrative work, preparation of bulletins, Nativity Notes, Annual Reports, etc., communication with the congregation and outside groups, content of digital signs, coordinating the church calendar/scheduling, assisting the pastor, staff, and church committees, and helping maintain church facilities. Carissa earned her Master of Divinity degree in 2013 and has been serving on the staff of local UCC churches, including two other positions at Nativity, since she moved to Buffalo. Prior to seminary, Carissa worked in the environmental education and outreach fields and is a proud two-term AmeriCorps alumna. When not at church, Carissa can most often be found in her Buffalo urban garden, out observing nature, crafting, or leading Bible study.
Victoria (Tori) Majka
Music Director
Tori joined our team in July 2025 and brings a rich and diverse musical background to our community. Her musical journey began with Suzuki piano training at a young age, and she was already serving as a church pianist in her early years. Over the years she has spent time as a traveling piano teacher, written many original songs, and even learned to play drums, violin, and harp. Most recently, Tori served as Choir Director and Organist at Owasco Reformed Church in Owasco, NY.
Originally from Binghamton, NY, Tori later moved to Moravia, where she graduated from high school. In addition to her musical talents, she was an avid athlete, playing both soccer and volleyball. Tori holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading—especially murder mysteries—and creates custom clothing and gifts with her Cricut machine.
